Job summary

Field Guide Lodge in Vermont is seeking a bartender with a positive service mindset to ensure guests have a wonderful time at the bar. You will take orders, craft cocktails, recommend beer and wine, and keep the bar area clean. This is a fast-paced role at a Vermont hotel.

Starting compensation is $18 per hour plus tips; the ideal candidate has good communication, customer service, and organizational skills, and a high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Take patron orders and deliver beverages including wine, beer, liquor, and mixed drinks.
• Restock and clean; side work for opening and closing of the restaurant.
• Order bar supplies, stock and keep track of inventories, and maintain glassware; notify shortages.
• Collect payments, settle patron checks, and record daily sales totals in the POS.
• Check IDs and serve alcoholic beverages per laws and regulations.

Compensation: Starting at $18 per hour plus tips. As a busy restaurant, we need a bartender with a positive customer service mindset who can ensure patrons have a wonderful time at the bar. Your duties will include taking customer orders, preparing a range of conventional and unique cocktails, offering beer and wine recommendations, and maintaining the cleanliness of the bar area at all times. This role requires a highly motivated individual with great organizational abilities and a customer-focused mentality. Responsibilities

• Take patron orders and deliver a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages including wine, beer, liquor, and mixed drinks
• Restock and clean as instructed, including side work for opening and closing of the restaurant
• Order necessary bar supplies, stock and keep track of all wine, liquor, and beer inventories as well as maintain a full supply of glassware and notify management of any shortages
• Collect payments, settle patron checks, and ensure tabs are paid, as well as record daily sales totals in the point of sale system
• Check customers age by verifying identification cards and serve alcoholic beverages to patrons per federal, state, local, and company laws and regulations

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in food service is preferred
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers and coworkers
• Must have a strong focus on putting the patron first with exceptional customer service experience
• Educational requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent GED certification
• Displays impeccable time management and organizational skills
