Job summary

Central Council Tlingit & Haida Indian Tribes’ Sacred Grounds Café is seeking a Lead Barista in Juneau, Alaska. This full-time, non-exempt position requires delivering premium coffees and teas, mentoring teammates, and maintaining outstanding customer service within a fast-paced cafe environment.

Qualifications

Experience using commercial espresso equipment.
Knowledge of safe food handling procedures and sanitation.
Strong customer service skills in a busy retail setting.
Ability to lead, communicate and train teammates.
Solid cash handling and POS experience.

Responsibilities

Coordinate front-of-house operations including customer service and beverage preparation.
Assist staff training, performance reviews, and ongoing coaching.
Support inventory management and product restocking.
Contribute ideas to improve operational flow and service standards.
Uphold high customer service standards and handle complaints professionally.
Work special events and assist with promotions as needed.
