Job summary

Sierra Bakehouse in Truckee, CA is seeking a Team Member / Pastry Chef / Bread Baker to join our mountain-town bakery. You will work Tuesday through Saturday with early Friday shifts; we bake everything in house using seasonal produce and care about high-quality products.

The role offers a growth path toward Head Baker and Assistant Manager as milestones are met, and requires prior commercial baking or culinary training with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Prior commercial baking or culinary training required.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Experience with bread baking and lamination is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Laminate doughs, scale and mix sourdough and other yeasted breads.
• Finish and decorate pastries and baked goods.
• Restock ingredients to maintain kitchen flow.
• Organize and place weekly food orders.
• Write daily prep lists and execute pastry menus.
• Unload deliveries; lift at least 50 lbs.
• Maintain clean, organized production space.
• Assist Friday bake sale operations and customers.
• Support media/marketing with product photos.
• Communicate with kindness and teamwork.
