Job summary

Aramark invites applications for Lead Baker to manage baking and food preparation in a food-service environment. You will supervise a team, ensure recipes and safety standards, and train staff on proper methods while maintaining quality and efficiency.

The role emphasizes adherence to safety policies and the ability to work with various kitchen equipment, from ovens to slicers, and to handle ingredients accurately.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a supervisor in a related role preferred.
• Experience as a baker or cook required.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods and safety regulations.
• Must obtain food safety certification(s).
• Strong math, counting and basic interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and supervise daily food service tasks.
• Train staff on food safety and proper cooking methods.
• Cook and prepare a variety of foods per recipes and guidelines.
• Set up workstation with ingredients and equipment.
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing and chopping.
• Safely use utensils and operate ovens, stoves and mixers.
• Bake, roast, broil, steam using varied methods.
• Arrange, garnish and portion food per guidelines.
• Store food following safety policies.
• Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment.
• Maintain positive customer service and demeanor.
• Adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures.
