Job summary

MaineMedical Center within MaineHealth is seeking a Lead Baker/Cook to serve as the point person in bake shop, kitchen or cafe areas and oversee daily operations. You will prepare breads, pastries, and entrees for use across the system.

Qualifications include Serve Safe certification within 3 months of hire and at least three years of baking/cooking experience. A sign-on bonus of $5,000 is offered, with requirements for eligibility and prorated pay for part-time roles.

Current MaineHealth employees not eligible for the sign on bonus. Must be separated from MaineHealth system for 6months to be eligible.

Summary

The Lead Baker/Cook role serves as point person in bakeshop, kitchen or cafe areas, and oversees daily operations. Prepares breads, pastries, and entrees, which may be used in multi campus system.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)
  • License/Certifications: Serve Safe certified required within 3 months of hire.
  • Experience: Three years of baking/cooking experience required.

The pay range for this position is $21.97to $29.28 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
