Job summary

Prolaio is seeking a Backend Software Quality Engineering Lead to validate and verify our cloud-based data platform. You will balance technical leadership with hands-on coding, guiding a small team of automation test engineers while contributing to test strategies.

You will ensure data accuracy in time-series datasets and collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Regulatory teams to meet SaMD standards.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in backend testing or software development with team mentorship or lead experience.
• Ability to write clean code and improve automation frameworks.
• Strong cloud-native services and API testing experience.
• Expert SQL skills with high-scale data environments including data warehouses and NoSQL.
• Proven ability to validate time-series data and complex data streams.
• Experience translating clinical needs into testable verification plans and safety-focused design requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and mentor a team of backend automation engineers while contributing code and reviewing PRs.
• Master and evolve existing backend test frameworks, maintaining performance as cloud infra evolves.
• Translate clinical needs into testable verification plans with Product, Engineering, and Regulatory teams.
• Design and execute validation strategies for large-scale analytical data warehouses and NoSQL stores.
• Oversee V&V processes to ensure SaMD compliance with ISO 13485 and IEC 62304.
