Job summary

Roku Pay seeks aLead Engineer to drive architectural decisions and implement scalable, highly available backend systems for payments. You will influence roadmaps, mentor teams, and remain hands-on with coding as you push for platform excellence across engineering, QA, and infrastructure.

You will evaluate emerging tools, design shared services, and collaborate with product groups to deliver robust, end-to-end solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in large-scale backend services and payment systems.
• Deep understanding of payment flows (processing, tokenization, gateway integration).
• Experience with multi-cloud environments and cloud-native design.

Responsibilities

• Lead evaluation and implementation of new technologies and designs across teams.
• Architect shared layers and libraries for high availability and scalability.
• Write and review code hands-on (roughly 70% of time).
• Champion best practices and drive platform innovation and reuse across org.
