HTC Global Services is seeking a Lead Backend Engineer specializing in PHP and Magento 2 to drive backend architecture and APIs for complex commerce workflows.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, mentoring engineers, and collaboration with Architects to implement distributed, cloud-native solutions using GraphQL/REST APIs, AWS, and event-driven messaging. This position offers growth within a dynamic, client-facing environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of backend development experience.
• Strong PHP and Adobe Commerce/Magento 2 expertise.
• Experience with Magento APIs, GraphQL, REST APIs, and messaging systems.

Responsibilities

• Build and extend Magento APIs, GraphQL resolvers, modules, services, plugins, observers, cron jobs, and message-queue consumers.
• Create REST/GraphQL APIs and service layers to decouple frontend from backend systems.
• Integrate with catalog, pricing, inventory, promotions, customer/identity, PIM, ERP, and OMS platforms.
