Job summary

Bedrock Robotics is hiring a Lead Backend Engineer to design and build core services and infrastructure powering autonomous construction equipment. You will own backend architecture, ensure high-uptime operations, and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team including Frontend, ML, and Robotics engineers.

You will work on data-intensive services for operators, fleet management, and autonomous task orchestration, with opportunities to influence core infrastructure and tooling.

Qualifications

• 6+ years owning backend design, architecture and implementation of critical apps.
• Expertise running high-uptime services: observability, monitoring, performance tuning.
• Experience with rapid prototyping in a small startup environment.
• Ability to design architectures from first principles using modern cloud tech.

Responsibilities

• Own design, architecture, and implementation of 0-to-1 backend services for autonomous ops.
• Develop data-intensive services for operators to visualize robotics systems.
• Collaborate with Frontend, ML, and Robotics teams to craft efficient technical solutions.
• Build tooling for autonomous testing, model deployments, and fleet management.
• Establish core backend frameworks, patterns, and infrastructure.
