Job summary

Flock seeks a backend-focused engineer to drive the architectural evolution of investigative workflows. You will build reliable orchestration backends for LLM tool-calling, function execution, and multi-step reasoning, aligning unstructured outputs with structured internal APIs.

You will leverage Python or TypeScript to craft high-performance services, with deep PostgreSQL/Redis expertise, cloud-native infra on AWS, and Kubernetes/Docker pipelines.

Qualifications

• Proficient production code in Python or TypeScript for backend services.
• Strong database proficiency with PostgreSQL and Redis for low-latency access.
• Experience implementing agentic workflows and function calling with LLM APIs.
• Cloud-native infra experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural evolution and backend execution for investigative workflows.
• Design high-performance orchestration backends for LLM tool-calling and multi-step reasoning.
• Engineer high-throughput integration pipelines linking interfaces to core data platform microservices.
• Collaborate with ML and Data Engineering to align unstructured LLM outputs with internal APIs.
