Job summary

Gilbarco Veeder-Root, a Vontier company, is seeking a highly experienced Software Engineer to design, develop, and evolve backend-focused cloud and web applications supporting fuel management and IoT platforms. You will provide technical leadership in architecture, scalability, and best practices, collaborating with frontend, QA, product teams, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of professional software development experience with full-stack focus.
• Strong architectural sense for web-based apps and modern back-end design.
• Experience with MongoDB schema design and query optimization.
• Proficient in Node.js development for production systems.
• Hands-on Kubernetes deployment and operation experience.
• Experience building on AWS including SQS/SES/IAM.
• Strong unit testing and test-driven development knowledge.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments and collaborative workflows.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; mentoring capabilities.
• Lifecycle experience: requirements, design, implementation, test, deploy, support.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test backend-focused software for cloud/web apps.
• Architect and evolve backend systems for scalability and reliability.
