Vontier Corporation is seeking a highly experienced Software Engineer to design, develop, and evolve backend-focused cloud and web applications that support our fuel management and IoT platforms. This role provides technical leadership in software architecture, backend development, and scalability, collaborating with front-end engineers, QA, product teams, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, related field, or suitable combination of education, experience, and training.
• 10+ years of professional experience in commercial software development with strong full stack specialization.
• Strong knowledge of web app architectures and scalability.
• Experience with MongoDB schema design and query optimization.
• Strong Node.js experience for production systems.
• Experience deploying apps in Kubernetes, building infra.
• Experience with AWS services (SQS, SES, IAM).
• Strong unit testing and TDD practices.
• Proficiency with source control and Agile/Scrum workflows.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and test backend-focused software for cloud-based and web-based apps.
• Architect and evolve backend designs for scalability, reliability, and roadmaps.
• Provide support and partner with frontend engineers and QA.
• Work in an Agile team environment.
