Job summary

Very Good Ventures LLC is seeking an experienced Backend/Platform Engineer to lead our backend, infrastructure, and AI agentic-infrastructure practice. You will represent the expertise to clients, shape technical direction, and ship the work across multiple engagements.

You’ll design and implement cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and security best practices while collaborating with client teams and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Backend or Full Stack Engineering with focus on DevOps, infra, or SRE.
• Experience building and scaling production AI-powered services or agents.
• Deep expertise in infrastructure-as-code and cloud resource management.
• Strong experience with major cloud platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Experience with observability, logging, and alerting.

Responsibilities

• Act as the credible technical voice in pre-sales and client conversations; scope engagements and set expectations.
• Define and evolve backend, infrastructure, and agentic-infrastructure practice; establish standards and reusable patterns.
• Translate technical decisions for non-technical stakeholders; focus on business outcomes and risk.
• Deliver quality across multiple engagements with different requirements; ramp quickly on new stacks.
• Design, build, deploy, and scale production AI agents and their infrastructure.
