Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. in East Alton, IL is seeking a Lead Avionics Repair Technician to supervise a team of technicians and oversee the repair and maintenance of aircraft electrical, electronic, and instrument systems.

You will troubleshoot, repair, and install avionics components, manage work orders, and ensure FAA compliance while coordinating with the Avionics Repair Manager. The role requires strong leadership, 8+ years of avionics experience, and a passion for delivering high-quality

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in aircraft maintenance/avionics with supervisory responsibilities.
• Advanced knowledge of FAA paperwork, work orders and Corridor systems preferred.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft electrical, electronic, and instrument systems and their repair.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of technicians to deliver high-quality, timely avionics work.
• Supervise daily workload and coordinate project flow with Avionics Repair Manager.
• Handle work orders, logbooks, FAA forms and customer pricing; ensure compliance with FAA and company rules.
• Perform installation/removal of panels and components; troubleshoot and evaluate systems on aircraft.
