Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking a Lead Avionics Install Technician for the weekend shift in East Alton, IL. You will lead a team of technicians, install and troubleshoot aircraft electrical, electronic, and instrument systems, and ensure high quality workmanship.

This role requires strong coordination of work flow, direct customer contact, FAA paperwork, and the ability to manage multiple projects on a busy ramp and in the hangar.

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience in avionics installation, troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft electrical, electronic and instrument systems.
• Excellent leadership and project coordination abilities.
• Ability to supervise multiple technicians and manage project flow.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of technicians on avionics installation projects.
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise work orders, FAA paperwork and customer pricing.
• Troubleshoot systems on aircraft before and after modification.
• Coordinate interdepartmental schedule and provide production support.
• Direct workflow and ensure timely, high-quality results.
