AerSale, Inc. in Goodyear, AZ, is seeking a Lead Avionics Technician to join an integrated aircraft project team.

You will lead a crew, oversee daily tasks, ensure safe operations, and coordinate with the Project Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, and Lead Mechanics to deliver quality work on schedule. The role emphasizes budget awareness, adherence to FAA and company standards, and hands-on leadership in troubleshooting, repair estimates, and tooling readiness.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• A/P or Airframe Certified preferred.
• 3 to 5 years’ experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily area inspections to ensure a clean and safe workspace.
• Process N/R's to provide accurate repair estimates and suggested actions.
• Assign manpower and monitor progress of the avionics team.
• Ensure technicians use current data and complete quality checks.
• Support project manager with data, estimates, and planning.

The integrated team consists of the Project Manager, Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor, and the Lead Mechanics. The Lead Avionics Technician is responsible for creating and maintaining a safe work environment, managing costs and delivering a quality aircraft/product on time.The Lead Avionics Technician prioritizes all work to be accomplished during a specific shift. Perform work within budgeted time within the Company, FAA, and our customers' standards of quality. His/her responsibilities include the setup of the oncoming shift in terms of job assignments that he/she coordinates with the off-going Lead Avionics Technician on his/her specific shift so as to create a smooth transition during shift changes. The Lead Avionics Technician also helps develop and maintain budget.* Additional Hourly Pay Rate: $2.00 per License**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**Administrative Duties:* Monitor and maintain attendance records of assigned crew.* Audit and approved weekly work records of assigned work group.* Ensure accountability to conduct themselves within the guidelines of company policies, work rules and regulatory regulation.* Monitor performance and complete proficiency appraisals of assigned work group.* Evaluate vacation requests against scheduling/manpower requirements and respond as needed.* Promote a culture of safety by monitoring self and others to assure all duties are performed within the guidelines as specified by the Company Safety Manual.* Manage operations in the most effective manner, eliminating waste and improving productivity.* Provide coaching, counseling and guidance to the assigned work group.* Maintain and track budgets as set by Project Manager.
