Job summary

Southwest Research Institute's Tactical Aerospace division is seeking an experienced PCB Design Engineer to develop complex PCBs for avionics hardware. You will collaborate with systems, electrical, and mechanical engineers to design, validate, and document boards and interconnects.

Responsibilities include library generation, part management, and supporting PCBA build/test for MIL-SPEC programs, including high-layer, RF, and mixed-signal layouts.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or related field; or HS diploma with extensive related experience plus PCB layout certifications.
• IPC-Certified Interconnect Design (CID) required.
• CID+ certification preferred.
• 6+ years of electronics development experience.

Responsibilities

• Design complex PCBs meeting MIL-SPEC avionics standards.
• Collaborate with Systems, Electrical and Mechanical engineers on PCB and interconnects.
• Generate PCB libraries and manage components for PCBA and LRU builds.
• Support PCB layout with multi-layer designs (18+ layers) and RF layouts.
