Job summary

Boeing in Huntsville, Alabama seeks a Lead or Senior Electrical Engineer (RE) for Avionics Design. You will manage a multidisciplinary team, own the technical direction, and oversee development, design, production, and testing of a new avionics platform.

A strong background in power systems, flight computers, and sensors is essential. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 9+ years of related experience, with 5+ years in leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Aeronautical) or related field
9+ years related experience or equivalent
5+ years leading a multi-disciplinary engineering team
Experience with circuit card assembly design and bring up
Experience supporting or managing engineering release processes
Experience mentoring early career engineers
Knowledge of power distribution, airborne power, flight computers, IMUs, and sensor power architectures
Active US clearance (preferred)

Responsibilities

Establish proactive technical oversight and risk management across the team
Lead requirement, function, and interface development for a new Avionics system
Present data at Design Reviews, product Acceptance and Qualification Reviews
Guide technical path for product definition and execution
Be accountable to IPT Lead and Program CE for the Avionics system
Provide technical authority over development, design, production, and test of the Avionics system
