Job summary

Ascent Aviation Services is hiring a Materials Supervisor in Marana, AZ to lead Shipping and Receiving within the Reclamations Department. You will oversee inventory accuracy, enforce safety and regulatory compliance, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet project milestones.

The role focuses on leadership, process improvements, and safe handling of materials, with opportunities for career growth within aviation maintenance and reclamation operations.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in shipping, receiving, materials, inventory, logistics, or related operations.
• Computer proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and inventory management systems.
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English; high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain IATA, IMDG, Radiological Hazardous Materials Shipping, and forklift certifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Shipping and Receiving personnel, including hiring, training, coaching, development, and accountability for productivity, quality, accuracy, and safety.
• Lead daily shipping operations supporting reclamation activities and external customers, coordinating with Reclamation Harvest & Woodshop teams to prioritize workload and meet milestones.
• Monitor material flow from aircraft removal through processing, packaging, and shipment readiness; address bottlenecks and risks.
• Serve as primary customer focal point for shipping status, priorities, and delays.
• Maintain knowledge of SOWs and project requirements to balance customer service with scope.
• Drive continuous improvement in Shipping by identifying inefficiencies and implementing better processes.
