Job summary

Tangram Interiors seeks an AV Lead Technician to oversee installation, configuration, and commissioning of commercial AV systems. You will lead on-site crews, ensure quality and safety, and coordinate with project teams to meet client expectations.

Responsibilities include system testing, commissioning support, and mentoring junior technicians. A strong knowledge of AV cabling, schematics, and project turnover is required; CTS or related certifications are highly desirable.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional AV system installation and integration experience.
• Strong knowledge of AV cabling standards, terminations, rack fabrication, and equipment setup.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and system schematics.
• Experience supervising installation teams and mentoring junior staff.
• CTS/CTS-I or InfoComm certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation crews on commercial AV projects with focus on quality, safety, and efficiency.
• Install, configure, test, and commission AV systems including displays, projectors, control, DSPs, mics, and conferencing.
• Oversee rack building, cable management, and terminations to standards.
• Verify site readiness and communicate issues to Project Manager.
• Conduct system testing, calibration, and client turnover activities.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior technicians and apprentices.
• Maintain documentation and ensure tool/equipment readiness.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, engineers, and clients to align execution with goals.
