Job summary

AVI-SPL is seeking an Installation Technician 2 to perform installation tasks for contracted projects, including cable pulls, terminations, rack fabrication, and wiring. You may lead installation crews on smaller projects by coordinating with the Project Manager to meet time, scope, budget, and safety requirements.

The role requires AV systems knowledge, low-voltage cabling skills, and the ability to work on customer sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–4 years of audiovisual installation experience required.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record meeting AVI-SPL standards.
• Ability to read schematics/blueprints and interpret project requirements.
• Proficiency with installing, terminating and testing AV cabling and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation tasks per project scope and directives.
• Lead Level 1 Technicians and ensure quality of work.
• Read and interpret project schematics and blueprints.
• Solder and crimp connectors; install AV systems.
• Test cabling and system functionality; verify operation.
• Track and secure equipment on site; manage tools.
• Communicate daily site status to the Project Manager.
• Coordinate with other trades; travel to job sites as required.
• Support project planning and budgeting discussions.
