Job summary

AVI-SPL is seeking an Installation Technician 2 to perform installation tasks on contracted projects, including wiring, cable pulls, rack fabrication, and equipment layout. You may lead installation crews on smaller projects, coordinating with the Project Manager to meet time, scope, budget, quality, and safety requirements.

Ideal candidates will have 2–4 years of AV installation experience, a High School diploma or equivalent, and a willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
• Intermediate AV systems knowledge including projectors, displays, and control systems.
• Proficient in installing, terminating, and testing low-voltage cabling.
• Ability to lead site teams on small projects.
• Valid driver's license and driving privileges.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation tasks and client training based on project scope.
• Demonstrate site leadership and oversee Level 1 Technicians.
• Read project schematics and blueprints for installation work.
• Use hand and power tools to assemble and wire AV systems.
• Test cabling and verify system functionality.
• Track equipment and manage tools on site.
• Coordinate with Project Manager on status and changes.
• Communicate daily site status to stakeholders.
• Travel to various job sites as required.
• Support team with evolving priorities and tasks.
