Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented AV Installation Technician to join our team, where you can make a meaningful impact. This role specializes in installing and maintaining audio/video distribution systems, digital signage systems, video walls, and other communication hardware in commercial settings. It requires technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills, with opportunities to participate in client events for additional income.

The position requires a full-time commitment during standard business hours, from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. However, substantial project installations will require flexibility and availability to work on weekends, evenings, and overtime as dictated by the project demands. All AV Installation Technician roles require varying levels of travel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and configure audio/video distribution, digital signage, and video walls.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and servicing of all installed systems.
  • Mount displays on various surfaces safely and securely.
  • Handle HDMI distribution, including HDBaseT setups and basic audio configurations.
  • Understand and work with network wiring, components, and terminations.
  • Collaborate closely with other internal departments to contribute to smooth operations and exceptional installations.
  • Act as an Event Day Operator at client events, which may occur on weekdays, evenings, or weekends.
Qualifications:
  • 3-5+ years of experience in installing simple and complex AV systems.
  • Knowledge of Crestron/AMX systems; CTS certification is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs or more.
  • Proficiency with tools, lifts, and ladders.
  • Self-starter mentality with a willingness to both teach and learn.
  • Positive attitude and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
  • Proficient in Google Suite.
  • Comfortable multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks without guidance.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Punctual with a strong attendance history.
  • Clear, effective communicator-verbally and in writing-with the ability to be persuasive.
  • Demonstrated ability to work productively with counterparts in a cross-functional capacity.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a high volume of tasks efficiently.
  • Problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude.
Required Skills:
  • Familiarity with HDMI distribution, HDBaseT, and audio setup.
  • Solid understanding of network wiring, components, and terminations.
  • Clean driving record and reliable transportation to the office (company vehicles provided for customer site visits).
  • Demonstrates a strong ability to lead an installation effectively.
  • Proven ability to train.
  • Neat appearance and professional demeanor.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • A true team player is essential for success.
  • Highly organized, laser-focused, and attentive to detail.
  • Possess a proactive attitude that drives initiative.
