Job summary

Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO) is seeking a Lead Technician in Florida to diagnose drivability and electrical systems while mentoring a team to improve customer care. The position offers flat-rate pay with a regionally competitive hourly range.

ASE certifications are encouraged and supported by the company. Candidates must possess a valid drivers license and be able to perform brake, suspension, and electrical work with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Valid drivers license and ability to drive customer vehicles.
• Brakes diagnosis/repair skills.
• Alignment/steering/suspension diagnosis/repair.
• General automotive maintenance and tire repair.
• Current federal, state and local certification/license where applicable.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.
• Reading, writing and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications—brake, hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical systems.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
• Stay current with automotive technology through continuous paid formal training.
• Assist and train technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities.
• Obtain or maintain ASE certifications in at least five of A1 - A8 within first two years of employment.
