Qualifications

• Must have a valid automobile driver’s license.
• Skilled in brakes, hydraulics, steering & suspension, and alignments.
• Proficient in general automotive maintenance and tire repair.
• Current federal, state and local certifications/licenses as applicable.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.
• Reading, writing and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications for brake, hydraulic, exhaust, ignition, electrical, suspension, alignment, A/C and computer systems.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to customers in clear terms.
• Stay current with automotive technology through paid training.
• Assist and train technicians in performing technical activities.
• Pursue ASE certifications (A1–A8) within two years; tests funded by the company; bonus for passing tests.
