Job summary

Bridgestone Americas, Inc. is seeking a Lead Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems while mentoring a team to improve customer care and satisfaction. The role pays a regional rate with a flat-rate pay structure reflecting task-based earning potential.

The position requires strong diagnostic skills in brakes, alignment, suspension and electrical systems, plus ASE certifications within two years and a valid driver’s license. This on-site opportunity is located in Indio, CA.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid automobile driver's license at all times.
• Skilled in brakes diagnosis/repair.
• Skilled in alignment, steering & suspension diagnosis/repair.
• Skilled in general automotive maintenance & tire repair.
• Current federal, state and local certification/license where applicable.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications - brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
• Stay current with automotive tech through continuous paid formal training.
• Assist and train technicians in performing technical activities.
• Aim for ASE certifications within two years of employment; test costs covered by company; bonuses for tests passed.
