Qualifications
- Experience diagnosing and repairing brake, hydraulic, exhaust, fuel ignition, electrical, suspension and steering components.
- Ability to explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanics.
- Commitment to ongoing training and ASE certifications within two years.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair to specifications – brakes, hydraulic, exhaust, ignition, electrical, suspension and alignment, A/C and computer systems.
- Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to non-technical customers.
- Stay current with automotive technology through formal training.
- Assist and train technicians in performing technical activities.
- Obtain or maintain ASE certifications in at least five of A1–A8 within first two years.
