Job summary

Bridgestone Americas, Inc. is seeking a Senior Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems and to mentor a team toward higher customer care. A sign-on bonus of $2,000 is available for first-time hires, with pay based on a flat-rate model from $20.60 to $34.15 per hour, reflecting regional productivity.

The role emphasizes training, leadership of technicians, and delivering reliable repair work across multiple automotive systems in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license at all times.
• Demonstrated skill in brakes, hydraulics, steering & suspension, and alignments.
• Proficiency in general automotive maintenance and tire repair.
• Current federal, state, and local certifications where applicable.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.
• Proficient reading, writing, and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle systems including brakes, hydraulics, exhaust, fuel ignition, electrical, suspension, alignment and air conditioning.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to customers in clear terms.
• Stay current with automotive technology through paid formal training.
• Assist and train technicians in performing technical activities.
• Obtain or maintain ASE certifications in at least three categories within the first two years; company pays fees and offers a bonus for each test passed.
