Senior Engineering Program Manager (Weld/Assembly)

Salary: $150,000.00/yr – $180,000.00/yr

Location: Franklin, KY

We are representing a Fortune 500 automotive organization seeking a senior level Program Engineering Manager. The role reports to the VP/General Manager and will manage program and production launch activities for Ford and GM.

Responsibilities

• Lead a department of 30+ employees and manage the department budget.
• Report directly to the VP/GM and provide strategic direction aligned with company goals.
• Oversee product lifecycle management for automotive programs.
• Collaborate closely with Program Managers and Advanced Mechanical Engineering staff.
• Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
• Implement problem‑solving methods for plant and customer issues.
• Develop high‑capacity talent with plant staff.
• Launch robotic assembly lines for frames, subframes, chassis and structural components.
• Work cross‑functionally with internal departments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (required).
• 5+ years of automotive engineering, commercial leadership, and/or program management experience.
• Experience in high‑speed, fast‑paced automotive manufacturing environment (required).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
