Job summary

The Pep Boys Manny Moe & Jack in Gilbert, AZ is seeking a Master Technician who can diagnose drivability, air conditioning and electrical systems while leading and mentoring a shop team to deliver outstanding customer care.

You will explain technical diagnoses and proposed repairs to customers, stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology, and maintain an organized, safe work environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of automotive diagnosis, problem-solving and repair experience.
• 8 ASE certifications (A1–A8) preferred.
• Section 609 Certification required.
• State Inspection license if applicable.
• High level of motivation, energy and a customer-focused attitude.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment background check.
• Availability to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications across multiple systems.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to customers and staff.
• Mentor and lead shop team; maintain organized workspace.
• Keep management aware of repair problems as they occur.
• Adhere to all company policies, safety, and environmental rules.
