Job summary

LEONI Wiring Systems U.K. Ltd. in Troy, MI, is seeking a seasoned Systems Engineer to organize LEONI’s North American Systems Engineering effort, focusing on E/E schematics for LEONI and customer systems. Reports to Head of Harness Design in Troy, Michigan.

You will import wiring DEF data, troubleshoot data/software issues with customers, and train junior engineers while creating DVP&R and inline pinouts. The role requires strong collaboration with customers and partners in a hybrid setting.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience in full-vehicle systems engineering (Stellantis preferred).
• Experience using Capital Logic/Integrator or equivalent schematics tools.
• Strong interpersonal and customer-facing communication.

Responsibilities

• Import Wiring DEF for all families including all sub-suppliers (Large, Medium, Small, Data/Communication, HV,Battery, etc).
• Trouble shoot any issues in data and software and resolve with our customers and business partners.
• Train/support junior team members
• Create hrn/cmp/csv files from imported DEF
• Support def quality team with def checks
• Create system level DVP&R
• Determine inline positioning
• Resistance check to meet system requirements
• Confirm design meets Terminal Plating and Special Requirements.
• Create subcomponent list (Terminal, Seal and etc) according to housing information
• Create inline pinout
• Create inline device transmittal (add special reqs and terminal plating)
• Provide splice information to DRE to integrate into 3D design.
• Wire harness troubleshooting for the full vehicle
