Job description

Lead Automation Technician, Manufacturing Operations

Join us as a Lead Automation Technician, Manufacturing Operations at Halozyme, Inc.

This position reports to our Minnetonka, MN office and involves leading the setup, troubleshooting, and operation of manufacturing equipment, supporting the product lifecycle from development to production.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading the technical manufacturing process, including setup, calibration, and operation of automated equipment.
• Optimizing manufacturing processes to minimize downtime.
• Monitoring and troubleshooting processes and machines.
• Collaborating with engineers to design and test solutions for technical problems.
• Collecting data and preparing reports for engineering and production teams.
• Running diagnostics, calibrating equipment, and supporting equipment functionality.
• Conducting experiments and investigations in collaboration with engineers.
• Ordering technical components and spare parts.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent, with trade certification or specialized training in high-volume manufacturing automation. Automation technician certification preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in automated manufacturing, preferably in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
• 5+ years working with automation and packaging equipment.
• Experience with GMP, process validation, and serialization, including DSCSA.
• Strong knowledge of industrial controls, PLCs, and GMP practices.

This role requires full-time onsite work. The base pay range is $34 - $48 per hour, with total compensation including bonuses and incentives.
