Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with 5–10 years in ground-up equipment design.
Expert fluency with SolidWorks for large assemblies and production-ready drawings.
Practical understanding of welding, material selection, and machining tolerances.
Strong project management history with on-time, on-budget delivery.
Residence within commuting distance of Brown Deer, WI; US citizen or GC.

Responsibilities

Lead ground-up machine architecture for high-speed automated machinery and robotic cells.
Develop concepts and collaborate with PMs to brainstorm cost-effective automated solutions.
Break down design scopes into milestones and coordinate with internal detailers and external fabrication partners.
Integrate fluid power, drives, hydraulics, and servo systems into designs.
Conduct early design reviews to identify safety hazards and ergonomic issues.
Serve as technical contact for global clients and manage BOM releases on the shop floor.
