Job summary

Keystone Distinction Group in the Greater Milwaukee area seeks a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to own end-to-end electrical projects—from concept through AutoCAD schematics, panel layouts, BOMs, and live commissioning. This high-autonomy role offers flexible hours and a performance hybrid model on ground-up robotic cells and custom machinery across North America, with 10-15% travel.

A.S./B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Automation is required, and US Citizenship or a Green Card is needed.

Qualifications

• Degree: AS or BS in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or Mechatronics.
• 3+ years ground-up electrical design experience.
• 3+ years panel layout/enclosure design.
• 3+ years BOM creation from scratch.
• PLC & HMI programming experience with Allen-Bradley / Rockwell.
• Stable employment history with long-term commitments.
• Willingness to travel 10-15% domestically; resides near Oak Creek/South Milwaukee; US Citizenship or GC.

Responsibilities

• Design ground-up electrical systems and schematics using AutoCAD Electrical.
• Create enclosure panel layouts and BOMs with precise component specs.
• Program PLC and HMI systems; test and optimize control logic.
• Participate in shop-floor wiring and hardware validation.
• Integrate vision and robotics for high-speed material handling.
• Conduct field commissioning trips (10-15% travel) for handoff.
