Job summary

Empower is seeking a Lead Engineer – Automation Quality to drive our test automation strategy and build scalable, reliable quality engineering solutions in a fast-growing fintech environment.

This hands-on technical leadership role designs automation frameworks, mentors engineers, and partners with Development, DevOps, Product, and other teams. You’ll explore AI and emerging technologies to advance automation capabilities and quality across the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of software testing/quality engineering experience.
• 4–5 years of hands-on automation testing experience.
• Proven experience leading technical automation initiatives and mentoring engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable test automation frameworks and strategies for complex applications.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Quality/Test Automation Engineers.
• Establish automation standards, coding practices, and quality engineering best practices.
• Design and develop API and UI automation using Java, Karate, Selenium, JUnit, and TestNG.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and improve continuous testing throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
• Define and monitor automation metrics and KPIs to measure coverage, reliability, and effectiveness.
