Job summary

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is seeking a Lead Automation Quality Engineer to design, develop, and execute automated test solutions for mission-critical compute and storage systems. You will collaborate with development, product, and QA teams to enhance testing across functional, regression, performance, and security areas.

You will implement test frameworks, contribute to CI/CD integration, and mentor teams while staying current with industry best practices in test automation and security

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 6+ years of experience in QA or as a Quality Engineer focusing on automation.
• Proficient in Python programming with the ability to write clean, efficient code.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, unittest).
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies including functional, regression, and performance testing.
• Experience with test harness tools in automation workflows.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitLab CI.
• Solid grasp of Unix/Linux and embedded systems.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain automated test frameworks and test cases using Python.
• Translate requirements into effective testing strategies with Dev/Product teams.
• Apply functional, regression, performance, and security testing methodologies.
• Integrate automated tests within CI/CD pipelines for ongoing testing.
• Enhance test harness tools and develop new utilities as needed.
• Contribute to test planning, test case design, documentation, and risk assessment.
• Participate in code reviews and test case evaluations.
• Stay updated on industry best practices for test automation and security testing.
• Support Fleet operations by troubleshooting and providing internal technical help.
