Job summary

AMF Bakery Systems is seeking a driven Senior Advanced Controls and Robotics Engineer to architect, program, validate, and commission advanced controls for high-speed bakery equipment. You will develop reusable standards to improve engineering efficiency, machine reliability, safe operation, and customer support globally.

You will lead FANUC robotics integration, Roboguide development, and machine vision solutions, while coordinating with service, sales, manufacturing and project management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of industrial automation experience and 10 years of hands-on robotics experience.
• Extensive experience with FANUC Robotics, FANUC Roboguide, vision-guided robotics, line tracking and conveyor tracking.
• Advanced Rockwell Automation experience including Studio 5000, ControlLogix, CompactLogix and FactoryTalk View.
• Strong knowledge of motion control, servo systems, industrial networking and safety systems.
• Proven machine commissioning and troubleshooting experience.
• Willingness to travel internationally as required.

Responsibilities

• Design PLC, HMI, motion control, safety and network architectures; develop machine software.
• Lead FANUC robotics integration, Roboguide development, machine vision applications, line and conveyor tracking.
• Develop new machinery concepts, define automation requirements, maintain product line ownership.
• Mentor engineering personnel, support customer startups, troubleshoot field issues.
• Ensure safety standards per OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, CE and perform risk assessments.
