Job summary

Paligen Technologies is seeking an Automation Design Engineer to serve as a technical specialist in automation and mechanical equipment design. You will drive specifications from concept through final drawings, and independently influence technical approaches with clients.

The role requires leadership across complex projects, strong problem-solving, and the ability to obtain a Secret DoD clearance. Experience with 3D CAD and manufacturing processes is essential, with a drive to promote core

Qualifications

BS degree in engineering; 7+ years of experience or equivalent.
Defense or Aerospace industry experience.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Engineering calculations expertise (tolerance, thermo/structure).
3D CAD tools mastery (SolidWorks/Creo).
Proficient with MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
Ability to obtain a Secret DoD clearance.

Responsibilities

Provide engineering leadership across major projects with integrity and professionalism.
Offer system engineering support to multi-disciplinary teams.
Proactively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders.
Lead development of Statements of Work, estimates, and project plans.
Develop new technical methods aligned with state-of-the-art tech.
Review results ensuring completeness and alignment with objectives.
Lead presentations to internal teams, customers, and partners.
Other duties as assigned.
