Job summary

DeSHAZO is seeking an Automation Controls Engineer to develop crane control systems from concept to deployment. You will design electrical systems, program PLC/SCADA/HMI/VFD components, and lead customer reviews and installations in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong PLC/SCADA know-how, hands-on electrical assembly, and travel up to 30% for customer-facing work. BS in engineering or 5+ years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering or 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Prefer 5+ years of controls experience in machine-building OEM.
• Willingness to travel ~30% in 2-week spurts.
• Strong understanding of industrial controls, PLCs, and VFDs.

Responsibilities

• Electrical design of automation systems, power distribution, safety circuits, I/O, and panels.
• Lead PLC/SCADA/HMI/VFD development for cranes from scratch.
• Configure, debug, and test equipment on shop floor for customer reviews.
• Lead runoff on shop floor and at customer sites; drive projects to completion.
• Manage time and costs to stay within budget and schedule.
