Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to design and integrate I&C systems for projects in the United States. You will develop P&IDs, control architectures, and system specifications, and assist with testing and startup of control systems.

You will also guide junior staff, contribute to proposals, and support marketing efforts within the Automation strategy. Travel is typically 20%–40% depending on workload.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree.

Responsibilities

• Lead instrumentation and control system design.
• Develop P&IDs, control architectures, specifications and control descriptions.
• Assist with testing and startup of control systems.
• Review shop drawings and contractor clarifications.
• Mentor junior staff and review their work.
• Support proposal preparation and marketing activities as directed.
• Perform other duties as required.
