Job summary

Pape-Dawson Engineers is seeking an experienced Survey Specialist to provide expert technical and office support for complex survey projects in Austin. You will guide Survey Technicians, oversee detailed drawings and legal descriptions, and ensure quality control across projects.

Ideal candidates have an Associate's degree or equivalent, 8+ years in surveying, and mastery of AutoCAD Civil 3D; MicroStation experience is a plus.

Qualifications

Associate's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
8+ years of experience in a survey technician or related role.
Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D; experience with MicroStation is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Manage complex survey tasks and provide expert-level guidance to all levels of Survey Technicians.
Oversee the preparation of detailed drawings, exhibits, legal descriptions, and advanced calculations using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Perform quality control reviews and ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
Lead deed research efforts and abstract complex data for legal and survey purposes.
Act as a liaison between field crews, project managers, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
Develop and maintain sophisticated databases of survey data for long-term project use.
Provide input on process improvements, training initiatives, and technology upgrades.
