Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service in Lakeville, MN is seeking a Lead Automotive Technician to diagnose vehicles, perform multi-point inspections, and execute complex repairs to high standards. You will guide and mentor teammates while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality.

Qualified candidates hold ASE certifications or equivalent experience, can operate computerized diagnostic equipment, and possess a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Experience as automotive technician or mechanic required.
• ASE certifications in lieu of experience.
• Ability to demonstrate proper use of computerized diagnostic equipment.
• Must have a valid Driver’s license.
• Ability to work 5 days per week, weekends included.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses vehicles according to certifications/experience.
• Performs work as outlined on inspection orders with accuracy.
• Performs complex and heavy‑duty repairs.
• Explains diagnoses and repairs to customers and staff.
• Recommends services to keep vehicles running and documents it.
• Follows safety procedures and company policies.
