Job summary

TGK Automotive Specialists in Minnesota is seeking a Lead Automotive Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles while mentoring team members. You will perform multi-point inspections, communicate findings to store managers, service consultants, and customers, and ensure repairs meet dealership and manufacturer standards.

The role requires ASE certifications or equivalent experience, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to work five days a week, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive technician/mechanic experience required.
• ASE certifications in lieu of experience.
• Must have a valid Driver’s license.
• Ability to work 5 days per week, weekends included.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses vehicles according to certifications/experience.
• Performs work as outlined on the MPI/Repair Order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Performs complex and heavy-duty repairs.
• Explains technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
• Recommends services to keep the vehicle in running condition and documents them.
• Follows all safety procedures and reports concerns to supervisor.
• Adheres to company policies and procedures.
