Job summary

Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO) is seeking an Automotive Lead Technician in Montclair to diagnose drivability and electrical systems while leading a team to boost customer care and satisfaction.

You will diagnose, repair, and explain findings to customers, stay updated with evolving automotive technology through paid training, and help teammates grow through mentoring. Competitive, performance-based pay and full benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid automobile driver's license at all times.
• Skilled in brakes diagnosis/repair.
• 5 years of automotive repair experience or completion of Vocational-Technical School Program.
• ASE certification in at least 3 of A1-A8 preferred (L1 allowed).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications – brake and hydraulic, exhaust, ignition, electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
• Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through paid formal training.
• Assist and train technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities.
• Obtain or maintain ASE certifications in at least five of A1–A8 within first two years of employment.
