Job summary

Pep Boys in Montgomery County, PA is seeking a Master Technician with extensive automotive diagnosis and repair experience to lead a shop team. You will diagnose drivability, HVAC, electrical systems and mentor junior technicians while delivering high-quality customer service.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, 8 ASE certifications (A1–A8), Section 609 certification, and a valid driver's license. Expect to train staff, explain repairs to customers, and maintain a clean, safe shop

Qualifications

• 5+ years of automotive diagnostic, problem-solving and repair experience.
• 8+ ASE certifications (A1–A8) preferred.
• Section 609 Certification required.
• State Inspection license if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications for brakes, hydraulic, exhaust, electrical, suspension, A/C and computer systems.
• Mentor and assist fellow technicians; lead the shop team to deliver quality customer care.
• Explain diagnoses and repairs to customers and employees in clear terms.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized shop and stay current with automotive technology.
