Job summary

Glass America in Florida is seeking a Lead Auto Glass Technician to guide a team of technicians in advanced installations, repairs, and camera calibrations. The role requires ensuring high quality, safety standards, and excellent customer service across in-shop and on-site work.

You will mentor technicians, manage complex repairs, and collaborate with local management to optimize workflows, while maintaining up-to-date certifications and PPE compliance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on auto glass installation with complex repairs and calibrations.
• Advanced knowledge of OE calibration systems and procedures; static and dynamic calibrations.
• Previous mentoring or leadership experience preferred.
• Efficient in removal and reinstallation of fixed glass.
• Current certification with AGRSS, Dupont, and Glass America Certification Exam.
• Ensure technicians wear proper PPE and certifications are up to date.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex auto glass installations, repairs and camera calibrations to OE standards.
• Provide technical guidance, troubleshooting, and hands-on training to the team.
• Oversee daily work operations, mentor junior technicians, ensure quality and safety.
• Collaborate with management to monitor workflow and scheduling; resolve issues.
• Maintain knowledge of tools, adhesives, calibration systems and OE procedures.
• Conduct pre- and post-scans and interpret data; guide others in doing the same.
• Ensure accurate documentation of calibrations, deposits, and paperwork.
