Job summary

Glass America in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Lead Auto Glass Technician to guide a team of technicians in complex installations, repairs, and calibration services. You will mentor staff, ensure safety and quality standards, and collaborate with local management to optimize operations.

This role requires 7+ years of hands-on experience, advanced OE calibration knowledge, and strong communication skills to deliver outstanding customer service and training across mobile and in-shop environments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on auto glass installation experience with leadership ability.
• Advanced knowledge of OE calibration systems and procedures (static and dynamic).
• Experience mentoring or leading technicians is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex auto glass installations, repairs, and forward-facing camera calibrations to OE standards, in-shop and mobile.
• Provide technical guidance and hands-on training to teammates to improve efficiency and safety.
• Lead daily operations, set pace, and ensure quality standards are met or exceeded.
• Collaborate with management to schedule work, monitor workflow, and resolve issues.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation for calibrations, deposits, and customer paperwork.
• Lead by example, delivering professional customer service and acting as brand ambassador.
