You will lead adjusters, monitor performance, and drive training to maintain high standards, with local on-site work in Bedford Park (IL) and opportunities to grow within the operation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years auto liability claims experience.
• Team lead or auto claims leadership experience preferred.
• Strong technical and administrative background in auto claims handling.
• Ability to work independently per policy and procedures.
• Experience in personnel selection, goal setting and performance monitoring.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to pass written examinations to become licensed adjuster/supervisor.
• On-site position in Bedford Park, IL.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and direct the unit adjusters.
• Conduct file/diary reviews to ensure documentation and fair settlements.
• Assign authority on claim files based on coverage and investigations.
• Review reports and implement procedures to improve claims process and customer service.
• Oversee procedures for effectiveness and compliance.
• Determine training needs and drive development programs.
• Identify system issues and suggest enhancements.
• Manage unit administrative functions and file workflows.
• Conduct unit meetings and respond to inquiries from the Department of Insurance.
