Job summary

Crash Champions is seeking a skilled automotive body repair technician to join our nationwide team. You will examine damaged vehicles and plan repairs, communicating status with teammates to ensure on-time completions and safety compliance.

Requirements include frame machine operation, body repair certification (preferred), knowledge of manufacturer repair processes, I-CAR welding certification, and the ability to supervise apprentices. A thorough background check is required.

Qualifications

• Frame machine operation is required.
• Body repair certification is preferred.
• Knowledge of vehicle repair processes by manufacturer is expected.
• I-CAR welding certification is required.
• Ability to analyze and interpret measuring data.
• Ability to supervise repair personnel.
• Must be able to pass a thorough background check.

Responsibilities

• Examines damaged vehicle and plans repair process.
• Works and communicates with teammates on vehicle repair status.
• Performs quality repairs while maintaining on-time status.
• Decides on repair vs. replacement considering safety, cost, and cycle time.
• Removes upholstery, electrical components, and trim to access areas.
• Attends required safety meetings.
• Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces using tools.
• Directs an apprentice and explains procedures as needed.
