Position Details

Title: Lead AV Technician - Buffalo

Department: Operations

Reports To: Project Manager or Account Executive

Position Purpose

This role involves directing and overseeing a team of technicians responsible for installing hardware components of AV systems, ensuring all targets are met. The Lead AV Technician works independently to coordinate, receive, inventory, assemble, and install AV equipment at various job sites, complying with company policies and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate installation teams, ensuring efficient workflows and safety compliance.
• Train and oversee technicians, supporting their certification pursuits.
• Handle physical tasks such as moving heavy equipment (up to 75 lbs.) and working at heights.
• Troubleshoot AV equipment issues and perform installations, including cabling and mounting.
• Work in diverse environments, including confined spaces and outdoor sites.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of AV team leadership experience.
• CTS-I certification or ability to obtain within 60 days.
• Valid driver’s license with minimal recent citations.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Proficiency with tools and basic office software.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Manage AV technician teams and coordinate travel and accommodations.
Maintain relationships with customer contacts at job sites.

Working Conditions

Work may be in climate-controlled environments or less comfortable construction sites, including outdoor tasks and working at heights.
